Can I lock my Karma when I have a good title and get a title like Glorious Lord?

If you want to have a "good title" unlock your karma so you can achieve "Glorious Lord"

No, you can only lock it to stop it from rising, not falling.

Also, just as with positive karma, you have to kill things with high opposite karma to achieve the higher end titles. So something like pixies (lev 3 positive Karma if memory serves) wouldnt get you all the way to Dread...youd have to move to the level 5 positive Karma creatures like Meers.

Having a necro and being glorious lord is a near IMPOSSIBILITY though. At best you will probably maintain if you use necro/mage regularly, straight normal Lord(neutral karma, on the ZERO tier), and the more you use necro the more it will drop.

the method I used to use, to get down to Evil karma level, was to attempt a provoke on a wandering healer.
You'll fail as soon as you click and lose "alot" of karma, right down to Evil level.
When you click provoke, then target a healer, he or she will say "Do not think i can't see what you're doing" (or something similiar"
If you setup a UO macro to do that, then hold down the key, you can get to that level in under 10 minutes.

Since I don't use chivalry on my warrior gal, I like to lock her karma before getting to glorious level in order to maintain the title "Noble Lady". I just find it much more stylish than Glorious...

... as for getting to Dread, if you're a necromancer, you need not do anything special really. Just use the necro spells and down you go. If you're in a hurry, kill wandering healers or nobles or other nice blue folks

Murderer schmurderer... just about every character in UO with combat skills should be called that, we all kill stuff all the time. Just 'cause the thing we kill may have four legs or scales or wings doesn't make it any less of a murder... :grin:

Thinking of this whole Ophid war it's kinda funny. Think about it, a human steals their valuable item, they get pissed off and attack humans. And we think they're somehow evil for doing this. Now think about this, what if the Ophids stole something from us? Wouldn't we go on an extermination run to kill them all and feel completely justified in doing so?

Technically its a human problem, and as an Elf I am here to save the day.

That's why I'm going to start a push to have the Devs incorporate the player base in on the invasions.

The invaders are red, so why can't reds be a part of the invasion?

I'll agree to terms of staying in the invasion town or area (Fel or Tram) as long as I am with the invading team (i.e. won't be attacked by xxxxxxx) but can freely attack anyone attempting to stop the invasion (blues). Even if they want to make it Faction rules, which would probably be the only way to do it, I'd take it.

Make it that I can only be healed/rezzed by other reds and the invading "healers" or put Priests of the Mondain in the invasion areas (which could be strategically killed by blues but will spawn periodically).

I am working on one Necro and that is the one thing I don't like...I've never had a negative title. Oh well.

the bad thing is, ingame titles dont say "the murderer so and so" that would be sweet!!
