I want to start a new character here in UO and I know that I want it to be bard based. I have a tamer/mage, and I wouldn't want my bard to be either a tamer or mage. So, I was wondering if there were any decent templates out there for say something like a bard/archer. Or, just some general good solid builds for a pvm/doom bard. Thanks.

A bard/melee template is tough. Do you want all the barding skills or just some of them?

Honestly, I don't know. I could just take a couple of them and be fine, I'm not at all familar with bards, so its all new to me... whatever ones would be most effective for doom/peerless would be the only skills I'd want from the bard side of the build, as I'd through most likely archer on the other half of the build.

My bard is:

120 Music
120 Peace
120 Provo
115.2 Disco (scrolled 120)
120 Mage
120 Med
120 Eval (stoned off)

Real versatile template that will let you do just about anything in UO. I stone off Peace and put on Eval for more damage in Doom. Quickly becoming my favorite char to play. Bard's have got to be the closest thing to godlike for PvM in the game.

For OTHER than doom, disco warrior is pretty nice, but very suit intensive.
105 disco (jewel to 120 w/ scroll)
120 music
105 weapon skill (jewel to 120 w/ scroll
110 tactics (got to 120 with arms of tactics)
100 anatomy (go to 115 with jewel)
76 chivalry
90 heal

706 total skill points. Need to be 2 year account to use. Or substitute what skills you can with jewels.

Personally, I dislike warriors for doom. Mainly, because they produce an uncontrollable amount of spawn from the DF. Even three provokers cannot keep up.

Thanks for the build ideas guys. I think I'll go with a mage/bard... I didn't wanna do magery, but I think it's gonna be my best option for doom and peerless.
