What's a dexxer?

Title says it all really. I keep seeing this phrase in forums and have NO idea what it means.

dexxer is a character with high dex and warrior skills.

before UO:R and in UO:R .. Dexxers were the scum and most easiest char to play if you had fast connection.. Didnt take any skill at all more than run in and hit someone with a spear and hope you got a stun in.. If not you ran away again.

Mages were the characters to pvp with then.

To add to what Gnomy said, for some reason folks don't equate them that way, but archers are also considered dexxers.
