What edition to buy?

Hello everyone.

I am an old school UO player and thought I'd try it out again to see how everything has changed. I'm having a lot of fun so far using the 15 day trial, and I think I might buy it.

But my question is: What exactly should I buy to upgrade the trial account into a full one? Keep in mind I have no clients or expansions save the free trial.

UO 9th Anniversary collection at $19.99?
Mordain's Legacy at $29.99?
OR wait for KR to come out and get that?

Im confused because it would seem the 9th anniversary would be the best bet, but the UO Store doesn't sell it, (I'd have to get it from Amazon) and from what I've seen of it, it's the same thing as ML, but $10 cheaper. Am I missing something?

I thought KR was a free graphical update and that the new expansion is going to be sold next fall.

Not sure if ML (Mondain's Legacy) is in the 9th Anni box, I think it is.

Re: What edition to buy?

I suggest the 9th anniversary. KR will be a FREE client upgrade. Next expansion will be Stygian Abyss. It's not due out until late summer early fall (more or less).

Re: What edition to buy?

Ok I see. Thanks for the fast replies everyone. So KR is irrelevant since it's free.

But does anyone know why I'm not able to get a 9th Anniversary code from the UO Store?
And am I right in assuming that it's the full game and not just a collection of expansions?

Re: What edition to buy?

It will give you all the content up to date. Not sure why you can't get it at the UO Store. Maybe your browser. I have heard stories that it only likes IE

edit: Sorry forgot to welcome you to UO Forums and to UO

Re: What edition to buy?

The 9th edition contains everything you need, including all the expansion packs. I would suggest going for that one, as even when KR is released you probably will not be able to use the ML items and content unless you upgrade. If you usethe 7 day code its only samurai empire so your missing the use of quite alot of items, and to be honest at $19.99 you cant really go wrong.

Welcome to the forums! And back to UO.

The 9th AE is the way to go. Using the 2d client. 3d is disabled.

Re: What edition to buy?

So, am I reading this right? I have up to the expansion that released Umbra and Luna. So if I were to get 9th, I would be up to date or would I have to get others as well???
