Using pros. tool and garg. pickaxe...

Can a person with no skill in mining, but has it set to raise, use a prospecting tool to bump iron to dull then use garg. pick to bump the dull to shadow?

Reason I ask is that I want to train my WW on a shadow ele but not in shame.

You will have to have at least 65 mining to get a shadow elemental

which shard do you play? Might be able to find a miner for you.

The reason for using shadow eles Tony is because pets cant damage them. Therefore pet just keeps beating away on it(gaining skill) and it doesnt die. Also it is a good way to work up vet as you can sit there and keep your pet healed while it fights indefinitely

from what i understand from some of my tamer guildies is......basically the elementals take almost no physical damage from your pets and the elemental does minor damage to your pet. as long as you keep your pet healed you can gm him/her off of it. kinda like 100% poison and gloems.

You can go to the mines in Tokuno, not sure what it's called, there's a shadow ele spawn there.

LOL, I went to shame anyways and realized that it is dull coppers there.

Anyways, I finally got a shadow to spawn and got good gains. I vet'ed for over 3 hours. I got good gains on my WW and the Uni I was riding. I also got good gains for Vet too.

I finally got soooo bored that I went to bed. I was going to kill the ele but it is invulnerable to magic so I could not kill it. I was on my tamer, only had magery for any offensive skills. I hope no one was disturbed while going through the delucia passage.
