Ok I have been struggling with the new client since its general release in June.

Basically just been experimenting with my paladin. I have macros made for everything I used in 2D except a macro to open my bank box.

For the life of me, I can not get it to work. I am using the new modal chat, which I find easier as most other mmorpgs that I have played use this type for chatting so the change was not very hard for me.

So I hit the lower right button to bring up the menu with create macros in it.
Open the create macro submenu.
left click and put the say bubble there.
move over to the right and put a say bubble there too and type in "Bank, Guards"
hit save/create and its saved. I bind it to the B key, no problem its bonded.

I run to the bank stand next to banker/minter, hit the B key see the words go over my head and nothing happens. For me to open my bank box, I need to hit enter first then type in bank then hit enter and it opens.

Someone please give me a step by step to set up a this macro using the new modal chat.

Also please do not refer me to the KR pdf, got it read it - does not help.
Also please do not refer me to uostuff - been there, no help.

This is the last macro I need to master and at last my pally will be done as far as KR set up. Thanks for any help.

Haven't tried it but did you use lower case letters in your macro? I know with animal commands you have to. Might carry over to the bank/guards command

OH well re-did macro, does not work, thanks for the suggest though.

hmm just tried it on tc1 (was trying to check the mining change out) and it worked good for me. Used "Bank Guard" and got a bank box open

were you using the new modal chat? or the legacy chat in KR?

New model chat. Where you hit enter then type and enter again.

Thanks again, I am using the new modal chat too, just will not work. standing right next to a banker/minter.

I know I am most likely doing something wrong, but what it is I have no clue, every other macro I have made works just fine. Only the ones for speaking to npcs will not work. Oh well, guess its back to 2D, tired of struggling with this client, guess I will send a feedback in, for all go that will do.

OK reread your instructions. Not sure I understand why you have "two" say icons. When you hit the "create macro" (not sure that is the exact wording) choice. It should pop up two windows. The window on the left has a button at the bottom saying create macro. Press it and then you will get another window where you can drag/drop into. Drag the "say" icon from the window on the right into it. As soon as you do. It should give you a gump to enter the words you want. I believe you hit "OK" to back out to the original two windows. Then you left (I think it's left) click your new macro (you can name it here too) and it will allow you to "bind" your key strokes. When done just hit the little "x" in the upper right hand corner to remove the windows. You should be good to go then. If you actually did all that then I am at a loss as to why yours didn't work and mine did . Hope you get it worked out soon.

Also going to send a link to this thread to Queen Mum. She has been very helpful in solving KR glitches.
