Is this quest still available to do? I was looking for some Pigments but I do not feel like paying 4mil to buy them. Thanks.

I pray they don't reactivate it. Sorry, but EA has managed to take the value out of everything recently. I have a full set of all the Tok dyes put away in storage as collectors items. I spent a lot of time/gold shopping to complete the set. It would suck to have them totally devalued. Then again, I'll be surprised if this DOESN'T happen, as that is the EA way. With that said, they may do what they are doing on the Asian shards, which is sell tokens for them. On the Asian shards you can buy a token for $10 which can be redeemed for the color of your choice.

what value they are pixels. thats the "risk" you take if you wanted to collect them all.

Its stupid to have an entire facet that has little to no use.

Give players something to shoot for. Just turn down the drop rate, from what it was in tot 1. For example lets say it took about 200 kills to get a minor under the original drop rate. Just set the new rate at like 1500 kills.

I still see people selling the 10th anniversary drop items and you can still get them in legacy dungeons. EAMythic turned down the drop rate on these items, why not tot items?

LOL, I understand that. My comment was geared towards typical EA actions. Let's just give everyone castles, polar bears, and heritage tokens up the wazoo. I mean, after all, why should folks who devote a lot of time to collect an item or work hard to get the gold to buy an item have something rare or difficult to come by? Heaven forbid we reward hard work. I mean, shouldn't we ALL have Vine Cord sandals and Lt. Guard sashes?

I, for one, enjoy single-player content. I'd like to see ToT comeback - perhaps with different minors or majors, different pigment colors to assuage the outcry.

I'd also like to see cursed artifacts turned back on in some form. Imagine: PvP where everyone was in high-end armor, wielding high-end weapons...all of which could be stolen and looted. Heck, let's allow them to be enhanced while we're at it!

I "worked" for all mine too. I have no plans to sell them, I use them to dye my armor.

I pay to have fun in the game. At least to me ToT I & II were fun. Why have a facet that no one goes too?

Turn ToT back on and lower the drop rate - people go to that facet

Add alacrity scroll to ilshenar champ spawns (trammel) - people go to that facet

Turn on some of the older overland invasion spawns in both fel & tram - more people in those facets.

If you give people more to do, they play more, they talk about it more, they get other people interested.

I never complained about people getting the +5 stat increase now.
I was around for AoS, I chose the +5 stat increase and not the +5 skill increase. Guess that makes me a fool, because people who took the skill increase back then, also got a free stat boost too.

I have not seen many castles given out, or polar bears. I paid for my account for long enough to get a polar bear. I still see few people riding them, maybe its different on your shard.

I agree they need to bring it back online, just like adding alacrity scrolls to champ spawns to.
Make the drop rates rareish, so as not to flood the market with them
Alacrity scrolls, at least, will ALWAYS be in demand, as will the dyes from the tokuno thing.

Pixelcracks for the win!!

It will get "old" soon, see how the marties were camped at the swoop or miasma, now it's deserted, same with the virtue armor, hardly anyone hunting in the dungeons anymore, etc.

Adding some shiny items will pick up interest only for a very short period of time.

I think they need to get something bigger done, that relies on community rather than soloing monsters. That will last much much longer.

Don't ask me what though... I'd be a senior game developper at EA if I had the answer
But I still think that a system based on community has more future than those systems based on greed and soloing.

I remember how strong guilds and communities were in the past, I guess PKs (dont mix the old days ones with the todays jerks) made us binding together. Nothing today like the helping you had in the spawns back then.

Ah well, no simple solution to complex problems

Swoops are not camped anymore because of the bag of sending nerf and that they made swoops harder to kill.

And if everyone has virtue armor, why are people still selling it for 300 - 450k each, except the helm and gauntlets (since you can get these with a heritage token {still 200k for a token though})

Still why not turn them back on? You do not want to get/do any? You do not have too. I have met about 5/6 brand new players that have asked me how to get stormgrips cause they are nice. Well after explaining it to them, I usually get dang wish they turn that back on.

Just turn the drop rate down and it will be okay.

That's not the point of my reply, I didn't said I didn't wanted back on, nor that everyone has virtue armor Just I point out it won't bring more players like you stated

I don't care for items myself, I have already more than I use so it doesn't change anything for me.
I just don't want them to put more neon into the game, the last major pigments were better, though they should have had 50 uses, not 10.

One big problem with the pigments (the original ones) was that they were neon-wahey.
I think they should try to slowly fade out all neon items to give back the classic medieval feeling to UO.

The shadowdancer black, rum red, courage purple etc. were perfectly alright with me and I would love to either see those brought back or perhaps have them spawn ingredients on high end monsters that can be used to make pigments (through the use of alchemy).

Alchemy + Ingredients = Pigments
I like that!

Even better, we should be able to make paint bombs!
Hit a character with them (Fel only ofcourse, wouldn't want the trammies to cry) and they instantly turn into that colour. Armour, clothing, skin, the works!

Hah, that will teach those neon bastards!
(I shouldn't be talking though, I have a few full armour sets coloured dryad green, just to take the piss out of neon)
