Talking Tamer Template

Ok i am interested in a tamer/peacer and i was wondering how well this would work:

AnimalTaming 120
Animal Lore 120
Vetrinary 100
Musicianship 110
Peacemaking 110
Magery 80
Evaluate Intelligence 80

I figured at least a little magery would be good for this as well as the peacing.
If anyone has any other suggestions please speak them. Im open to near any suggestion.

Re: Tamer Template

Personally I'd drop the eval all together. Unless you intend casting offensive spells. Eval doesn't effect the greater heals you'll be needing to keep your pet alive. Try and get vet to 110. There is a big difference. My tamer is 105 vet, I get 1.5 second heals. Go me. But my aim is 110. Also, resing your pet at anything under 105 takes several attempts. Put some Med on there as well.

Re: Tamer Template

Well if you get a birds of britania totem, you can have 80 med. But i wouldn't drop any skills. Whenever I make a template, I always include any armor mods and jewels into my suit. Because you can come up with some amazing templates, but without the right armor it's useless. You'll be needing 2/6 casting and 100% lrc ideally, and medable. So just like my Necro Suit

I use a luck suit on my spellweaving tamer for general use, but on peerless i'm forced to put on my necro's suit for the regen. I'm at cap with my tamer on MR, my necro is at 14, but with vampire form ftw. (extra 4 MR)

Template
Taming 115
Lore 115
Spellweaving 110
Magery GM
Eval GM
Vet 110
Med 100

I know thats 750 skills, thats what jewels are for. You'll need at least 80 magery to never fail an invis.

Re: Tamer Template

I never failed at 80, that I can remember. But better to be safe than sorry. Cos it'll fail when you most needed it. Like when you have 99% LRC, it fails all the time.

Re: Tamer Template

You will need more Peace and Music skills to peace the harder monsters in this world. I have 120 music and 115 peace and I still find a lot that I cant peace the first time with a normal intrument. I dont have a problem with a slyer instrument but its just easier to pack a regular one. One suggestion I would make is to take Tamming up to 105 and let Jewlery take it up to 120. Once you have all the pets you want, you will be able to control them and if you need to tame anything again you can just through the jewlery back on.

Once you get able to tame Frenzied Ostards you will have a lot of fun. Tame 5 of them and hunt with them in packs. Since they have pack insticts they are incredible killing machines. This will allow you to make money like all the finished tammers out there with out having the big pets. You will have to get use to handeling 5 pets at once but It's awsome. I was killing White Wyrms with Frenzy's just a few seconds after the music was finished from a peace. If it wasn't for stable limits and myself wanting all the neat new pets I would still hunt with these wonderfull pack beasts.

Have fun and stick with it, Taming is very boring and tedious skill to train but well worth it in the end.

Re: Tamer Template

I love my tamer, I've started a second one, but I can't find the time to work his skills. Shame I don't macro my skills *looks over shoulder*. Taming is one of those really hard skills. I read somewhere that they are making taming easier to gain in, surely that just degrades the skill. Its the best skill in the game, its over powered in tram, but thats why its so hard to work up. Surely??? I don't think they need to nerf anything atm, the game seems really balanced for the time being. Can't wait to see what new skills they bring out in KR and what items they bring for us to play with.

Re: Tamer Template

The devs better not nerf taming or the gains that would suck!

LOL

I know how you guys feel. Just remember that when someone moans about your gains around the blackrock spawns or how you can use one item over and over again.

Re: Tamer Template

Everybody has an opportunity to use the blackrock area, taming just isn't one of those skills that can be use at that area.

Vepl, I thought of a way to speed up my taming process. Since right now I am only doing GGS gains. I was thinking maybe you tame a ridgeback then meet me at the blackrock area and release it and let me tame it so I can get at least a .2 gain maybe even .5, would you do that?
