Talisman

Okay, a brief foray ( 2 hours) into Stratics, and I still have

no answer. What is a talisman? How do you get them? TELL MEEEEEE

Or provide a link to stratics that I can use.

Instead of stratics, how about UOStuff? That's a list of the things you can get from the library, including talismans.

Some talismans drop as marties from things such as swoops in ilsh. Other talismans are gotten from quests in Heartwood.

Each talisman has different properties. Oh, and by the way, you have to get a 'friend of the library' talisman before you can donate to the library lol.

The talismen (talismans?) have different properties, like crafting bonuses. Some are slayers, which work like a slayer weapon would when you have them equipped. (They sort of hang in the air to the right of your head on your paperdoll).

When equipped it is on the paper dolls left side above where a shield would be (you can still carry a shield). To get the benefit of the most talisman you have to have it equipped. I think the exception is summoning. Don't think those have to be worn to summon.

I have a talisman of creature summoning.... which always summons a cow for some reason. I have to have it equipped to use, and if I unequip it, the cow vanishes.

the talisman i had on that made you ask what they are to begin with gives me 10 % lower mana cost and regenerates my hp by 2. it also summons random animals and gives me 60% resistance to ratmen. very handy at despise.

i got it off of a swoop i killed in that cave in spirituality. but you can buy them for like 1-2 mil depending on where you look on most shards, theyre called Totem of the Void. theres also another nice one you can get from donating to the library called primer on arms, gives you hp2 regen and 20 damage increase. also about a mil or less.

ahhh, so the basic stats stay the same, but the damage immunity is random? I saw a Talisman of the Void that was 99% immune to elder lich damage on UO Auction 2.

yah the only thing that varies on them is what kind of protection they offer

then you have other talismans that are really cool called summoning ones
they summon boards, ingots, bandaids. ect to you. really neat.

You can also get slayer talismans. My collection right now includes, beetle, bovine, vermin, bird, fire.
