solen quest difficulty

I am trying to do the ambitious solen queen. I have completed it with one character, got the BOS and trans powder..all that.

When I try to do it with my other character, she tells me I am busy and to come back later. I checked the quest button on my paperdoll and it does not show any open quests. Last quest I did was library quest, and it is completed. To the best of my knowledge (not best memory in the world) I do not have any incomplete quests.

Any idea what I should do?

I had that happen to me the other day doing a compassion quest. I just logged out and back in, and was able to do it.

Thanks for the advice....
But it didnt work.

She still says I am busy with another task..or something to that effect.

Any other ideas??

Are you single clicking yourself and opening quest log that way? The solen quest is an older one, it's not in the paperdoll like the new ones.

That was it.
I had no idea that the quests located in the menu where I click myself were different from the ones on the paperdoll. (which seems kinda odd to me, but o well)

The Ambitious Solen Queen Quest is one of the few "legacy" quests from years ago in UO, and not part of the Mondaine's Legacy group of quests. You'd think that the devs would have either incorporated the old quests with the new or used the old quest engine for the new quests, but that is not the UO way. Incompletion, confusion and pandemonium are the UO way. :grin:

I would say that you probably have another legacy quest on that char, like the witch or collector.

Those are the only quests I do. I don't remember how to check the new ones

Do the obsidian statue quest that starts in haven alot if you can that will be the next to go.
