So, wheres the treasure hunting info?!

Hey all, I briefly played UO about 1yr ago and wanted to play a treasure hunter as it sounded very unique compared to what Ive already seen in other games. But then I had to leave and couldnt return until now.

Ive bought the newest Uo, Migraines legacy or whatever his name is!

So, is treasure hunting still available? Ive looked throughout the forum and cant find anything on it. Also, did the new expansions introduce new templates for treasure hunters or are bard/mage still the best routes to go?

Anyway, if you can point me in the direction of any info, especially up to date info on treasure hunting I'd really appreciate it!

Ok, back again.

I found this very helpful site from one of our members here .

There are drop dpown menus on tha site,and if you have a look around there are sections on templates and T-Hunters too.

If you're playing Sonoma, I have some maps you could practice on.

My T-Hunter templete is:
100 cartography
120 music
120 peace
100 lock pick
100 magery
100 eval int *some replace this with stealing, so you can steal items without spawning guardians from chest.*

80 medititation

I area peace and cast ev's to take care of the guardians. With practise, you can handle any map out there.

I don't remember my exact template, guess I will have to pop ingame and look... But it had a lot to do with provoking, magery, and the staples (carto/picking).

Back when I was doing many maps in a row, I had it down to a science... Dig, invis, and provoke the guardians onto each other. as they were fighting I would wiggle the chest to get more to pop, and basically exhaust the chest spawns before removing anything.

Thats was nice back before the guardians can reveal. Its just a hair more challenging now.

I haven't done any chest in a long time. I didn't know the guardians revealed now. There goes my T-Hunter template.

Im kinda itching to try this out again, but I will bet I will get my butt squished on a level 2 map as rusty as I am at it.
