Read somewhere that everything in your bank box is "on" your character. I think that means the server keeps that info just like it does your backpack. It just isn't accessible to the player until they get to the "bank". That is why some peeps lag a lot more then others crossing server lines, gating and such. The one server passes the info off to the next one.

It would be a good addition, but would require a large amount of code work. For starters, EQ has bank slots, where UO has one large box. They would have to recode the bank to first be stored not with character data, and to have a slot effect.

Then they would have to code a way to limit the use to certain amounts of items, or weight. This would be more code work... If it were somthing like just sharing money it would be from my standpoint fairly easy to add a counter variable to the bank code, accessable by the entire account. Other than that, item transfer using banks would be very difficult without a complete revamp of the bank gump, and code involved for the entire account.

So all your deco, crafting and bank box loot are lagging my Feluccia.

I wish they would do that, too. I'm still working on building my house. I have a design saved, but I don't have the money to commit the design yet. If I could share gold among all my characters, it would be a lot easier to save up enough to finish my house. I'm going to have to try and pick one character to earn gold for house designing if I'm ever going to get it done.

I do that. I have a lot of various containers that have similar items in them. Food, reagents, house items, clothes, weapons, whatever all else. Makes it easier to find everything, until I can start putting some of it in my house. ^_^

The best idea here would be to secure a chest at your house plot, then just go to each chars bank and get a check for however much you want, drop them at your house, log on with the character you want to commit the design and have them drop all the checks in their bank...voila, all gold in the right place.

I still have to figure out how to secute items and stuff. I'm thinking it requires the interior decorator tool, and I don't have enough for that just yet.

The securing chests/boxes is the easy part, all ya gotta do is put the chest/box where you want it, then say outloud..

Target the box and you'll get a menu of the different access levels (Anyone/friends/co owner/owner)

Just place a container of any kind on the floor of your house. Then say "I wish to secure this". It will give you a targeting cursor. Target the container and then it will be locked down and secured. You can also say " I wish to lock this down". Down side to locking things down is anything inside the container has to be released. To do that you would say "I wish to release this". Nothing special needed to do this. Other then being in your own house .
