Returning to UO, Hi all

Hello all, i am feihunng "the mage" UO was my first online RPG I have ever played and it was because of UO that I continue to play Online games. I started UO back in 1999 and played for 2 years just before BTR came out, I move to EQ and now played EQ2, but I have come back to my roots, and started up a new UO account, back on atlantic shard. the game is just as I remeber it, Fun. but alot has change since I play. there is a lot of new skills, and new classes. if anyone can fill me in on what hace change since 2001, like new things and items the a mage should work to get. I been reading that there is armor that let you use your med skill, is this armor that you craft or need to find or a little of both. also is there any links that can help fill me in on changes? Well i am glade to be back to the world i grow up with "I play the old school ultima games back in the DOS days" right now i am working on making rune books, I am mostly venture around visper and moonglow, if anyone is by that way look me up, I am happy to make rune books for people. also I am looking for a guild, not a "Hard cord PvP, need to be on every friday night for 12hr guild" just a fun guild that enjoys the game and work toghter to make UO even more enjoyable.

Welcome back and there have been ALOT of changes.

As far as what you may be looking for to outfit your char depends on what you plan on doing. You plan on PvM, PvP, a mix?

Ok here is a dumb question, but what is PvM? I know PvP, and i here of PvE so is pvM Player vs. monster??? if so then I guess i will be more on the PvM side. but maybe once i get my skills up I would know mind maybe joining a guild that will go out and hunt down Evil players that prey on the weak. or maybe run a bar on the side.

If youre going more PvM at first, items arent quite as big of a concern.

On my mage, I have a 100% LRC (Lower Reagent Cost, so you dont have to carry around reagents anymore

) that has really low resists, but I do fine against any non-casting monsters. Just gotta remember to keep youre distance!

If I were going against spell casting monsters, Id take a much better resist suit and just carry a bag of reagents

Welcome back to UO and Welcome to UO:F!

LOL Yes the Power of UO! Even though long ago when I first seen this game... my dad was playing it but I never knew the name of it for the longest time and the graphics, sounds, music, and just the general mechanics of the game always stood out to me... I played tons of games but there felt something was missing and then one day my dad pulled out the original disk that I rememebered from when I was a little younger the picture is the only thing that stood out and now I knew the name of the game hehe and it all come back to me... inspired me to play and have my own account... so here I am! hehe I do not know why I never really asked what the name of it was... never accured to me I guess...

So even me NOT playing, the power of UO was in me the whole time! I might not be a vet or anything but I do have a HUGE love for it, even when I only played it very little watching over my dad's character when he had to afk... it was an amazing / fasinating game and I am very happy to play it for the first "Offical" time! I which I was here the entire time... not wasting my time on them other games... but hey I am here now! And this game doesn't feel like there is anything missing, it feels comeplete to me...

But anyway! I hope you enjoy UO:F as much as I have! Everyone is amazing here and that is what keeps me coming back! ^_^

Oh yes and you said "dumb question" There is no dumb questions! If you have one just say it.. no one here flames! We like to help in anyway and anywhere we can! That is what we are here for and part of what Adam Forum Community is all about! Some forums accept it... I think it is wrong for people flaming others but I am glad Adam has a diffrent view on it than normal places. So ask them questions, we are all ears!
