I sold my account sometime back in 2001, around the time of SWG. I am just now returning to Sosaria, only to find that everything seems different. I am starting from scratch now into Bowcraft/Fletching again, however I am unsure what skills I need. I thought I only needed Lumberjacking, but I can't seem to make logs out of any of the new wood, i.e. Oak, Ash, Etc. Do I need Carpentry?
Also I am taking up Archery, I know I need Anatomy, but do I need Tactics as well? And poisoning, I understand you can poison your arrows now, anyone know how?


As for Necromancy, I have figured out that I need Spirt Speak, but everyone tells me not to bother with Meditation. Can someone explain this.

Also I am looking for a large printable map to put up on my wall. The atlas that comes with the 8th Age, you need a magnifying glass to read it. If anyone has a URL to a large map, please post it for me.

TO make the boards, you need carpentry

If you are using your archer to fight, tactics is recommended.

I belive its a certain bow you can poison. And I think thats the elven composite bow. Im not too sure of that.

They are wrong. Spiritspeak and Necro spells take up mana. Unless you have Lower Mana Cost and some good Mana Regen then you shouldnt bother with meditation. Until then, Meditation is important.

I cant wait until the archery nerf thats on test center now.

What is the nerf? I have never played on the Test Shard

no archery hit will be able to go over 35 HP. This includes AI, lightning strike, honor, bushido and critial strikes.

Finally the gimps will be put back in check.
