returning player gives greetings

Hi guys,

Probably a typical story... Returning UO player, hasn't played since... 1998 ;) .. Yes I played at release for just a few months before real life got busy and never made it back. I have fallen through the cracks of EVE, EQ2 and of course numerous text muds.

30 years old, one daughter, in CST (Texas). Looking to meet up with a few decent people to party with on occasion. To say that I've forgotten how to do things is going too far, but not TOO too far. I did manage to chop down some logs

Well that's my hello, hope you're all having a good Friday evening wherever you are...

(BTW, need some advice on shards for population and activity. Time zone is not as important as population though I suppose I will usually play in the evening of US Central time.)

Welcome back and good luck. I would suggest Atlantic and Lake Superior. Both have a large population, and Lake Superior is probably the friendliest lets form a party and kill a peerless shard I have come across.

I'm in Texas too, and play on Pac without any lag issues.

Pacific is a lively shard as well. Just too many Tamers hanging out infront of Luna Stable.

Welcome back usedmanatee!

Pac, Lake Superior, or Atlantic are pretty much well populated and active.

As for the time you will be playing, I've noticed most things done by players is scheduled around Eastern time, while most things done by the Dev Team or Event Teams are done on Pacific time (speaking of prime times for events)

You wouldn't be complaining about those Tamers so much if it were in Fel, Maddux.

You could always come to Napa. There just doesn't seem to be enough people on there and not the element that it used to be so many years ago.

I have too many homes to move from this shard now but I never have a problem anywhere I go with spawn or overcrowding. A few Swoop farmers but that is really it... lately anyway.

Whats a little harsh is when that Rune Beetle is chasing you, followed by that mare. Then that tamer casts invis'd on her or himself. To make make matters worse, while your running for survival you can hear tailoring sounds, like this tamer is filling Bods. There isn't any justice for average neighborhood "Red"
