Question about 'marking' quest items?

Hi all,

I'm a real newbie here and so far, I'm enjoying the game. However, I've just picked up my first quest and while I've got everything the quest person needs, I'm having trouble actually giving them the quest items.

Each time I approach the quest giver in order to give them the required items (1 cut piece of cloth and 1 sewing kit), I keep getting told that I have to 'mark' the quest pieces otherwise the quest giver might take the wrong items.

Soo, in short, how do I 'mark' the quest pieces?

Thank you to everyone who helps me.

BTW... just another question... is there a shard that features 'chatty' people as I much prefer a game where I can just yap away with a few people while completing quests... as with Runescape.

Thanks again.

Re: Question about 'marking' quest items?

As far as marking quest items, the way I know it, left click your character on the screen (not paperdoll) and one of the options should be mark quest items. And I believe that you press <Esc> to get out of that mode.

Sorry, don't know about the any specific "chatty" shards.

Best bet for a "chatty" shard is to pick one of the more populated ones in your time zone. Stands to reason the more people on a shard the better the odds of finding someone to talk to .

Thank you for the quick reply, I appreciate it

This is going to sound very dumb but how can you tell how many people are in a shard? I tried to figure out a densly populated one when logging in for the second time but I couldn't tell which shard had how many people?

Doh! :: slaps forehead! ::

Re: Question about 'marking' quest items?

Where are you from??? The shards are related to where you live. ie Europa is Europe based. You'll also get a better connection if you join a shard that is closer to home. Atlantic and Pacific are both very well populated. Lake Austin is as well, last time I checked. Look down the side, look for one with the lowest Ping time in ms. You'll get better gameplay that way. But you will have to start over again. I wouldn't join a guild at this stage, you'll most likely get taken advantage of, in some way. You'll need a little experience to join a guild. And stay away from those red gates. Even if they do look pretty!!!!!
