Problem with KR and Vista Ultimate 64-bit

I installed kr on my vista, tried to start it, gave me error:
Unable to locate d3d9_30.dll

I have up-to-date dx9.0c installed, i have the needed files in my system32 folder.
I'm running the game as administrator and tried it in XP compability. No luck.

I really don't want to use vpc cos it's so heavy, so suggetions will be more than welcome! Thx!

It has nothing to do with Vista Ultimate, I was running Kingdom Reborn on Vista Ultimate a few days ago until yesterday I went back to xp (cheer!). All i experienced was a little lag.

Btw people, I'm not trying to put you off buying Vista as I liked it alot but it does take up alot of resources. It made all my game's laggy but the luuuuush graphics are indeed lush, But if you have XP you can download a Vista Theme. Vista comes Pre-installed with DX10, and because of that is missing some of the DX9 Files which most games (nearly all) require at the moment. Some games can run without DX9 Files some cant. Try installing Directx9 Do not worry it will add files but it will not overwrite your Dx10.

I have to agree.I am a bit loathe myself to switch to new stuff until its been tested more.I stayed with Win 98 for aeons as the upgrades just never came up to scratch imo.I eventually switched to XP in May this year,and am not ready to switch again .

I got Vista (Home Premium, but it's still Vista) back at the release with a new computer. I downloaded the ML Installer from http://www.uo.com/uoml and just let it patch up from that. For some reason, it wouldn't install from a 9th anny OR a 7th Anny cd.

When you run the installer, though, right-click it and choose to "Run As Administrator" and click through the UAC Dialog.

Hope that helps.

EDIT: *D'Oh!* I skipped over the fact that this is 64-Bit. I'm running a 32-Bit OS (On a a 64-Bit Processor, believe it or not. Thanks, Dell...

) so I'm not entirely sure if this will work. I think it will install to a Program Files-32 Bit Folder, but I'm not entirely sure.
