Paladin stats

Hi all,

For you Pally's out there (or anyone else), how would you distribute str/dex/int if you had the following template:

Anatomy
Chivalry
Healing
Magic Resistance
Parrying
Swordsmanship
Tactics

Thanks in advance!

Re: Paladin stats

Assuming you can come up with a +25 stat scroll:

100 STR
115 DEX
40 INT

This gives you enough INT to cast all of the Chivalry spells. The high Dex gives you the ability to swing fairly fast and bandage quickly, and the 100 STR is still fairly strong. From that point you start making decisions based on jewels and your suit, and even your weapons. Most Swords Paladins will swing a Soul Seeker for the most part because of the good leeches and SSI.

Thanks Rhus, that was exactly what I needed to know.

And THANK YOU for the Soul Seeker info. I went out and bought one and it's one hell of a weapon
Ended up paying 350k for it but it's been worth every gp. I'm really happy with this puppy.

Re: Paladin stats

I have the same build as you, except I dropped magic resist for bushido. It's a great skill because it takes no points or reagents like other skills, and every book you buy already comes with all 6 spells. Not to mention, when you have evasion and lightning strike (bushido spells) along with the damage from the chivalry spells, you become one hell of a warrior. I can solo ancient wyrms no problem with this build so long as i keep evasion cast. The only downside of it all, is you'll need more mana, and mana regeneration to keep up with all the spells you'll be casting.

Re: Paladin stats

Assuming that your talking about PvM, then Rhus' advice seems pretty sound. The soul seeker is a good weapon, but if I catch you in fel with it, prepare to die.......

Another good weapon is the Pixie Swatter, does good hit area. And is UBWS. But only good for killing lots of lower level creatures.

Should only set you back 50k.

Thanks, I hadn't thought to mention PvM/PvP in my original post.
I'll check out the Pixie Swatter too, haven't heard of it before.

And not to worry, it is totally and completely impossible for you to kill me. Ever.:grin:

Re: Paladin stats

Actually, I'm starting a character on Catskills soon...........

But I've faught people PvP that were wielding a soul seeker, they died very quickly. It might have good speed and leech, but as a weapon it sucks awfully badly for taking players out.

So there are two ways I could kill you. One is joining the guild your in, the other is catching you in Fel.

Re: Paladin stats

HAHAHA, I joined another new guild. With people that can actually PvP. Leet. They were going to allie OSG - to use as meat shields. The whole force in numbers argument. But OSG wouldn't allie because of me, so we went back on reds, after giving them 6 murder counts as they all killed our blues. We both died, but we took 8 out of 10 of them with us. Took 10 people to drop two people and 8 of them still died.

I'd forgoten that PAS go over to skills every now and then to kill Cutter and his cronies. Think I'll have to start doing that.

Think he's annoyed that I res killed him, I needed to get my insurance off someone. Killing Dubie is better though, 5700 each time, he's losing 11400 every time he dies. If he dies 100 times that a mill. What does he do, insure individual bandies???

Re: Paladin stats

I have the same build as well.

I go with

90 str
125 dex
35 int (40 with the aos bonus)

To make up for the lack of str, there is always armor mods/arties such as spirit of the totem (+20 str) or the mace and shield glasses (+10 str/+5 dex) and much better resists which is what I prefer.

And then the rest of my suit is built to compliment my mana loss with lmc,mr etc and mana inc etc.
