![]() | Can anyone offer me any advice on killing Ophidians? Actually, can anyone offer me any advice on simply not getting slaughtered by them. As soon as I go near them, e.g. by teleport from Moonglow - I die. I would explain a bit more, but it really is that simple - I teleport, I die. I can occasionally run about for a few seconds, but end result the same - I die. ![]() I may just be too teeny tiny to go there, but that would just be sad. ![]() These guys are really wrecking my fun, and costing me a fortune in insurance. Any advice (including 'just stay away") would be welcome. PS - I gotta kill some cos stupid Gorrow in Luna told me too. |

![]() | Re: Ophidians Well, first, I'd try with an ophidian slayer weapon or reptile super slayer. Second, do your armor have the good resists for ophids? Third, do you carry enough greater cure potions with you? Fourth, if you can afford it, buy orange petals making you resistant to poison. Five, find someone to go hunt there with you and cross-heal ![]() Last, if your skills aren't in the 90ish, I wouldn't bother trying to go there. Knight Errant and Avengers are just too hard for you. If you are a mage, just cast EV, run there, drop the EV, run back. Rince and repeat until the shamans are done dispelling your EVs or are dead.

Perhaps on the lower end you'll have apprentice mages which are very easy to kill, and then up to shamans, justicars and matriarchs that are able to produce powerful spells. For these you'll likely need resist to withstand strong spells. The same can be said for nearly anything that melees but with two exceptions: knight-errants and avengers have a nasty habit of inflicting strong poison upon their foes as well as very devastating hits; avoid these more than anything else. For them you will need some method to cure. Ultimately, if you are running from Ophidians, you will want to avoid those two the most, but be mindful of strong spells from the casters. Also, get an ophidian slaying weapon.

![]() | Re: Ophidians Also, nearby (do a little bit of scouting) there is a path between the hills (more of a ravine) that works very well as a bottleneck if you bring some friends. A favorite tactic of ours is to have a mage or two down at the end, casting energy fields across the bottleneck, whilst the warriors ride through and finish the slaughter. (Just a thought)
