One use dyes

I've looked at all those charts and it makes perfect sense, and I applaud the eyesight of the person who put it together. But when you are staring at a bag full of them, it doesn't help the sorting process much.

Thank god for monochrome monitors.

I'd go crazy figuring out what color was what, as it is, it all looks orange to me.

So...... what are the Dyes for anyways? I have a ton of em but I am afraid to use them and waste them. What Properties (mods, colors, whatever) do they add to what items? Can anyone tell me?

They add no mods or in any way change an item, other than the color.
