Hey everyone!

What a great forum! There's definitely a lot of input going around, both about UO and already about PunkBuster. That's great to see, and we welcome any questions or comments. I can't guarantee that I'll be able to answer them immediately, but I promise to do my best to answer them as quickly as possible.

For those of you who don't know me, let me give you a little info about myself. I work in Research and Support for Even Balance and have since July of '04. Chances are if you send an email to research@evenbalance.com, you'll hear from me. It's my main focus to stay in tune with what's going on in the hacking community for the games that we support. That's a pretty big undertaking in and of itself, so I submit for help from whomever I can get it from. So if you know of anything new in the hacking of UO, feel free to send it in to research@evenbalance.com. We'll definitely check it out, and if it's not something we're already addressing, we'll get right on it. All submissions are anonymous, so feel free to send in links or hacks or whatever you may find.

Like I said, I'll answer any question you may have, and feel free to look around at http://www.evenbalance.com at some of our other games so you can get a feel for how the whole PunkBuster thing works. There are some big misconceptions out there, and we'd like to calm any fears or concerns anyone may have. You may also want to look at here for a thread regarding some common misconceptions about PB.
