Ok so ive been killing recruits in about4-5 hits and making really nice gold.I have a house right outside the spawn in skara brae.My question is i tried a general and i couldnt kill him i went through three enemy of ones and a crap load of consecrate weapons and divine furys i was hitting him for 35-45 about every second but i couldnt get him down at all on the bar he was still at full hp even when i refreshed his health bar numerous times

There was probably a healer nearby.

If there is one nearby it will fully heal whatever your fighting often.

If there are 2 healers nearby, they will heal eachother and laugh at the 20 people wondering why they aren't dieing.



They can be solo'd no problem, just takes a bit of time. Mages need to find which resistance is their weakest, some are weak against fire (Fire eles + all fire spells), some energy (EVs + energy spells), most poison (if they aren't immune), most cold (mind-blast), and some physical (Earthies + EQ).

Wow that much hp thats crazy.But anywho i guess ill jsut have to fill him full of about 500 arrows then

Also remember the matriarchs heal when they get redlined, so if you're fighting them beware. I was having a hard time singling out Generals. I have been going there and trying to just get generals, I dont give a crap about loot or whatever they drop. Its just that, with 2 dots to go in my quest for knight of honor, they are giving me honor. Sooo, with that in mind, I try to lure one farrrrrrr away from the mobs of people so they dont hit it and screw up 20 min of work...hehe.. I have been using a soulseeker, yah its not ophid slayer, but the leeches afford me lasting life. Bring a live mount also, they dismount alot. Have it follow you before fighting, so when you do get dismounted, it doesnt stay and try to fight. Just walk a few tiles away, remount and go back at it. I dont know about archers as I despise archers, so I cant give you any advice on how to kill them with that template.

I made one earlier in the year to combat all the other archers, but as soon as he served his purpose, he went right back on the shelf and is awaiting his transfer to a nox/fencer.

Nox fencer sounds interesting i always love a nox mage myself.

Healers don't have to be real close to heal the other ophids. We got a general's (it was either an avenger or knight) hp real low, then it went back up to full health. There was no healer on the screen. Had to go run across the screen to find the healer.

I have been delaying the transfer cause I just dont want to take the time out to build up nox. Or fencing for that matter. He is fully red, so going out and training his fencing up would suck, as if I were to get caught out somewhere, he wouldnt be able to fight back too well.. Go 40.1 fencing!! hehe..

Those ophidians are really good source of money, till it cames to generals. I killed some warrior and enforcer ones. It take a lot of time, huge number of tithing point and their drop don't worth it. The only intresting thing i ever got from them was something named Mystic Ophidian Berdiche, hope it some rare item About the stronger ones - the only time i was agaist knight general it killed me in one! hit of 99... Don't think that melee warrior have any chance against those.

I've been soloing them on my swordsman all weekend, and died once. It is very possible to solo them, just gotta be quick on your heals and toes!

Soloing generals just takes too long, I get bored and it's not worth the trouble... I'm usually happy to get help killing them so we can get through it faster and move on to kill the next damn snake.

This war ain't gonna be won by fiddling around with the enemy one by one. Into the fray, death by the thousands! :grin:
