I haven't gotten to this point yet, but I wanted to equip my warrior with a mana leech weapon.

But since he only has 10 mana (everything else in STR and DEX) is even worth it? What would that do? Just drain 10 mana from the wizard?

10 mana? how are you doing any specials?

that's definitely not balanced enough...and if you get hit by anything you can't move... you might need to rethink your stats.

What would you INT advise be? 25+? Or around there?

If you want to use your weapon special moves, I'd say 35, so if you have some LMC and focus, you don't need to wait too long between two special moves.

Weapons special moves mana cost is 15-30. Not counting chivalry spells which are minimum 10.

If you don't use any of them (moves or spells) you'll never be able to hunt the big game. Those are what makes the difference.

My dexxer has 87 mana and can chain 7 Armor Ignores (that's 770 damage if he uses the right weapon). So it's useful for sure.

Go wraith form for the mana leech and get a mana leech weapon. You'll need both so you can spam lightning strike.

I can't imagine trying to fight with only 10 mana..... BoBo let me guess your either new to UO or Old School return?

Mana is Very necessary for any specials that you might want to use... (On your paperdoll is a nifty little purple book that shows you the special moves for your weapon{at least it is in 2d..... I think it's around somewhere like that in KR but I can't really recall}).....

Beyond specials if you take up Chivalry, Bushido, or Ninjitsu. Necromancy or Magery to compliment your skills with the blade or even Poisoning.... in order to use any of those you WILL need mana, and then Mana leech is a great thing.

I'll try and experiment with it. I'll try to get mana and dex up and have a good str balance. Let you know how it goes.
