Oh hell no, banks start paying interest in UO, it will not be too much longer then that we will be paying taxes in UO.

Lets just say after that I needed to log off and go do somthing else, it so disgusted me.
250 is very, very low, unless they've been duped even more. I've never even heard of any sold for less than 400mil. Last I heard was 650mil.

(It still isn't close to the LMC 10%, MR1, INT +5 Leutenant sash that goes for 1Billion+)

Re: Magic Sandals

Who knows maybe they got them from an idoc and were just throwing out a price? Maybe they were freshly duped. I do not know, does not really matter though,
250mil / 400mil / 1 billion, it does not matter, I will never have that much in game.

Re: Magic Sandals

I think I could go on playing UO with normal items and never worry about paying 1 gazilion dollars for a unique item that gets me +4 on any protection, stat or resist.

I don't like that they (EA, OSI whoever does it) introduce things and make them rare and in order for an ordinary player (less than 168 hours game time a week) to acquire them he/she has to spends weeks collecting gold to buy it off a vendor from some A-hole that never sleeps (or scripts) for some ungodly sum. 1 billion gold, you know how many lizard men that is? That is about 15 to 16 million lizard men. In reality, you will have decimated the lizard man population and be tried for genocide in the Yew courts (or wherever).

I truly have a real problem with the way items are so overpriced...to include the library items. You invest tons of time and/or gold for items that are hardly worth it. Same with monsters. You go in and kill some insanely hard monsters (Ogre Lord) and get some down right !!!!ty-!!!!ty-bang-bang loot. The only time you get serious loot is with swoops and any other monster that can kill you by farting. What is up with the Yamandon and how the hell is a Harrower even close to being fun?

Again, I understand you non-sleeping types like to kill these insane monsters, that's all you do. Normal folks with work and weak UO networks...well, we have to kill lizard men.

I agree with you on the library items and all of the "lottery" systems that reward the scripters and no one else.

But if you're talking about gold, the best way to make gold has always been the buy low & sell high game. It's been like this since the beginning of UO. You don't need to be a robot to play that game. Even regular players who have a normal job can make a lot of money.

Yes, they thrive off of all the people who do go out and farm lizardmen and swoops all day long. But there's nothing special about the people who do it.
Scripters is one thing, but making gold in and of itself? Anybody can do it.

Re: Magic Sandals

I would have to agree with Chad. I did the time and got taming over gm and yes it took tons of in game hours all done over the course of several yrs but I can make 1-2 mill a day without even going at it hard core and that doesnt include the items I get to sell And if that elusive blaze cu ever pops for me than I'm set forever!

Not a game. Practically real life.

Actually, it is still a game to me. That is why I always start NOOB characters.
