Lockpicking?

Well at long last my lockpicker has finally become GM

At LONG LAST, I though, as I have about 30 chests from Miasms's,10 from Titan Paras, 10 from Deamon Paras and 1 Chest of Heirlooms. Leaving me with no lockdowns at my house. Now I will be able to open them all, gain loot and goods for my Vendors.
WRONG
I cannot open any of them
Why? does any body know or any ideas as to what I'm lacking?
It has me puzzled.

One other thing, could you please tell a doddering old man where you guys get your smart banners from that you use on your posts?
Some of them look really good and I think I could find a good use for one.

Re: Lockpicking?

yes they were released... had them inside other chests so they were not locked down.

Just put them on floor ( out of chest ) tried to unlock them ....zilch...nothing

Re: Lockpicking?

No garauntee on unlocking it, are you getting the failed attempt message, or is absolutely nothing coming up...

Even at GM you can still break lockpicks on chests.

Re: Lockpicking?

I usually break quite a few lockpicks opening up the Miasma chests. I find that it helps me if I line up several chests and alternate trying to open them. Sometimes I'll get stuck on one chest that just won't open, but if I can move on and open another chest first, that seems to fix the first one.

Re: Lockpicking?

Yeah, I break several also, but I just plow through even if it takes 30-40 attempts on one chest. It'll pop eventually.

Re: Lockpicking?

yep the breaking of lockpick and failed to unlock is what I'm getting.

I'll try Gwenyth's method and let you know how I get on.

Re: Lockpicking?

You have about a 10% chance at unlocking GM chests.
Just have about 50 Lockpicks in your bag and use a Last Object Last Target Macro.
REMEMBER the chests are still trapped, so don't open them right away.

Re: Lockpicking?

OK guys...........

It worked, took some doing but I have now opened 5 of my chests.
Just expected to be able to open them straight away when I became GM, gone through about 30 lockpicks so now I gotta make some more so I can open the rest LOL.

Thank you all for your help.
Still like to know where you get banners from though.

Re: Lockpicking?

Has anyone seen a lockpicking power scroll?

I haven't myself.....been looking in vendor shops... are they any?

If you know of one (especialy for sale on Europe) I would be very greatful if you could tell me where.

still got a dozen chests to open...been at it all day long (on and off) ...must be an easier way.
