Hunting grounds for Non-GM warriors?

I started about 2 months ago, and have been working on a Warrior/Paladin for the last few weeks. So far my stats are as follows (estimated, not at my home computer):

Chivalry: 60
Swords: 80
Anatomy: 100
Spell Resist: 100
Healing: 65
Tactics: 70
Parrying: 65

My resists are all at 40...due to the 100 resisting spells (can't seem to find decent armour).

My question is, where is a good place to do monster hunting to build my skill? Right now I spend most of my time either in the Solen Infiltrator area (at the entrance to Wrong), and Despise (fighting lizardmen and Ettins)...but I'm starting to get a little bored with these.

I'm just looking for monsters to fight that aren't too easy, but aren't gonna kill me in 2 or 3 hits either.

Thanks for the help!

At 80 swords you should move up to the earth ellies in despise or go to lvl 1 shame for them. Depending on your armour be careful not to get ganked by a two or more

Which shard are you on? That will let us direct you to someone who can be of more direct help.

To quote Rhus Rhaddicans, our newbie helper god, "Go to Swoops". Not to fight, you would die, but to litter pick for better restists armor. Ask for help there as well.

Hmmm, methinks with your resists you will discoer alot of things to be overly challenging. your best bet would be seek a resists upgrade, then go to the Compassion shrine moongate in Ilshenar, and kill ratmen around there. For equipment, you will want to find a repond slayer weapon (soul seeker if you can afford one), and a vermin slayer talisman. This area will get you to mid 70's swords skill.

Re: Hunting grounds for Non-GM warriors?

Bah, you humies are as numerous as lice, just not as useful.

You will find some good stuff there. In about 4 hours, you should be able to assemble a 100% lrc suit, and some nice high resists. You can also ask around for someone to enhance them for you, but excercise caution when giving your items over to others.

By the way, which shard are you on?

Re: Hunting grounds for Non-GM warriors?

Try the Ettins just North of the Ilshenar Honesty Shrine, here's why:

1. Just enough to keep you occupied

2. Physical attacks only

3. Pretty good loot for moderate-level monsters

4. Occasionally a Paragon will spawn, giving you a chance for a chest or even a minor artifact.

5. You can even fight the occasional Cyclopean by venturing inside the cave nearby. Leave the Titans alone though, they are nasty spellcasters.

For armor, you can get a tailor to make you a set of Spined Leather armor, which at Exceptional Quality will take you to 70 Physical resist, which is all you need against ettins or Cyclopeans. Alternatively, a smith can make you a set of Dull Copper Ringmail armor, which will do the same thing.

An Orcish Visage (minor artifact) will give you a significant strength boost at bargain price; you can usually find these for 500gp, or 5k at the most.

Once your fighting and healing is closer to GM, move into the nearby cave and fight the Cyclopeans and Titans. If the Titans are too much, try the Troglodytes in the Painted Caves near Trinsic, or the Ant Lions in the Solen tunnels.

Good Luck!
