I have a couple questions...yes I will always be a noob!

First of all, where did Stretched Hides in a box come from? You know the ones that are stuck in the box and to get them out you have to smash it or whatever, and then it's stuck there for all time?
How did these happen? I looted one at an IDOC today and thought it kind of cool, I've never seen one before.



Other question..

What color is this robe??? I am guessing reward cloth, but does anyone know what color? I just thought it was cool..thought I might make another

I think the stretched hide was obtained from some kinda exploit, but I can't remember how it was created, but it IS legal to own/sell etc.
I remember them updating their policy on it

The owner of the house locked down the box rather than securing it with the hide in it. The game is still reading the hide as locked down even though the box was released when the house fell. As you said, the only way to release it is to smash the box. If there were other items in the box that you could take out, those were put in the box after it was locked down.

Oh..I thought the whole hide in a box thing was due to an exploit? hrm
Like the pets in a box etc?

There was nothing in the box, just the hide...the entire box won't lock down or be within a 'locked down' box...only in a secure. And nothing can be put into or taken out of the box.

I thought it was an exploit as well...I know I had old guildmates on Baja who had them from way back in the day...

That robe is bod reward cloth, most people i no call it red/blue just like the reward sandels

no no no it wasnt an exploit, im trying to remember exactly what it was and from my poor addled brain i cant remember but orcs come to mind. there werent just hides, there were lots of stuff, i have quite a few. the most common was the statues that you still see around now at skara bank and vesper bank etc on europa.
they also contained the hanging statues, double half hides and lots of other things.

If the box with the hide weighs 255 stones it is illegal to make but not illegal to own. If you place the box anywhere (in house or not) and break it with an axe the hide will be perminatly there until a GM comes along and deletes it. No GM should come unless someone pages.

The robe is red/blue reward cloth and fairly easy to get. I think it's level 2.

Thanks darlings....yes it's one of the ones that weighs 255...not sure what I'll do with it but it's kind of neat to have.

And I'm pretty sure I have that cloth..i'll have to try that now..hehe

these cannot be made and for alot of them the items in them also cannot be made and never have been. still cant remember how they appeared but checked mine again last night and i also have grasses in one.

Well I am glad you think they cannot be made as it shows you aren't an exploiter.
