Hi everyone I am new to this wonderful web site and I am hoping that someone can help me ? I would like to post in my picks for the Spring Deco Contest but I am having difficaulty in doing so. I can get the info type in np but for some reason i can not get the pics to upload, I have tried pretty much everything I can think of , so there must be something I am missing lol. I did make my pics smaller to KB so they should fit but when I try to upload them nothing happens : ( Please Help :grin:

Happens to me too. I've never been able to upload a pic to this site so I've always had to use photobucket.

This may sound silly to you but what is photobucket :embarasse. Thanks for the replies , both of you . I may have to go that route too :grin:

Greetings Elena! Okay all I do to host images even though I only did one hehe is going to "Image Hosting" at the top

click "Upload an Image"

and then just click the "browse" button to serach for what you want to upload to the site and click "host it" and then should be

and I am pretty sure it leads you to a spot where it gives you a address to your image so you can post it and use it

I attached the "browse" part of it... if you are not seeing this then I am not sure what to say... and Photobucket is a free image hosting site... pretty good accept it only goes a certin size by width and height.. so if your image is too big it automaticly shrinks it... or least with the free account I am not sure with the paid one if it does the same thing or not...

Or you could just attach the images at the bottom of your post... now if you already have posted then I do not think you can edit your post and try to attach... or least I can't anyway have to post again to see the attachment option...

Let me know if you need help with that if you missed it... because when you post you have to scroll to see that option and not sure all you have discover yet on this site

When you are making a new post you scroll down, below the text area, and there is a box that says 'manage attachments'. When you click it you will get a pop-up box where you can browse for a file on your computer or link to a url for a picture. If you browse for a file on your computer it will upload it to the UOForums server.

If you are replying to a post you will not see the manage attachment button unless you click 'go advanced'. Then you can add pictures to replies as well.

The picture you post will get shown in the post as a large thumbnail. When you click the thumbnail the full size picture will show up.

Hope that makes sense.

How about that. Yes the Image Hosting button up top works too. I've never actually looked at what it does. (I have my own domain and usually host my own pics.)

And lol Tuk just explained the attachments to post part for you ^_^
