Re: Growing Plants??
http://www.celticmoon.com/plants/
Celtic Moon is a great old gardening info site that I used long ago. Buy your empty plant bowls from provisioners in town. They can't be empty bowls from food. I don't think we can craft the plant bowls, which is too bad. Double click the empty bowls and target any dirt patch, (sometimes there's one conveniently right outside of the prov shop). Double click a filled pitcher of water (filled from water troughs or magic wave tiles), and target the bowl of dirt twice so the dirt is not hard or soggy. The fertile dirt has a chance of increasing growth rates, but the results are not consistent, so I don't use em. They make your plants end up on different days for harvesting seeds and I'd rather do em all at the same time. You'll need kegs of greater poison, greater cure, greater strength, and greater heal to help plants recover from ailments during their developement. To get the initial 16 first generation plants of 4 different colored seeds and 4 types (like campion, poppies, etc.) you need to slay a bogling, or buy them from another player. Those 16 seeds can get you started into crossbreeding plants, and that site will better explain it than I ever could. One more tip...if you grow a plant that you don't want, you can use an empty the bowl button in the gump and reuse it. Good luck!

Re: Growing Plants??
I buy my plant bowls from the Luna provisioner then grab dirt from the Luna moongate right outside
Fresh Luna Plants! Use a water pitcher on the bowl of dirt twice and it should say "a bowl of soft dirt." Double-click a seed in your backpack and target the bowl (also in your backpack), and voila, you've planted a seed. I like to then lock down my bowls in my house. Don't put them in a secure container, or they will not grow. Just lock them down directly on the floor. The 2nd day after you plant your seed, you'll see a little sprout when you double click your plant bowl. You'll also see its status (whether it needs water or potions). Here's a plant troubleshooter I made. It's handy, at least until you get the hang of recognizing all the plant ailments! http://www.uocraft.com/tools_garden_ts.php
