Greater Hiryu against Swoop

Has anyone ever used their greater hiryu against a swoop? Was it easy or difficult? Did it take any longer or shorter with the hiryu, etc.... ?

I'm asking because my hiryu is far better trained than my cu sidhe and I'd like to kill some swoops without having to bring two pets at the same time (mare/rune beetle combo).

I'm sure it could be done, I train my Lesser on it (non-Tamer) and if I had the mana/mana regen to keep up with Close Wounds I could probably let it take it on solo without having to help finish it off.

I'd think it would take longer than an untrained Cu though.

Greater hiryu has a slightly slower kill rate on swoops than CU, but conversely, takes less damage due to the higher possible PR. You should be able to kill three to four swoops without healing the hiryu, possibly more.

ONly pets I have seen that can get in trouble with a swoop are lesser hiryu, and the two slot pets.

paul is right i have seen alot of lessers die by the talons of the swoops ..just keep them healed and ou will be ok

The physical resists of a Full Hiryu can get up to like 70% and is one of the few pets that can have MORE then GM wrestling on it. So with the right Hiryu, you could do much better then a Cu Sidhe as far as damage potential and resist. The factor I can't remember is what resists a Swoop have. I assume it is strong to physical as well.

Even though a Cu might not kill it as fast, a decently trained or better Cu Sidhe will heal all of its own damage so you can just point to kill and loot. And if you are really thinking, you can get a Cu Sidhe and a pack animal to carry all the massive loot!

Average: 70 35 43 26 25

So a CU would do more damage due to the low cold and energy.
