Ok, I have tons of the bones but how, what do I do to trade them in for skulls? I thought I read you need 1000 to get 1 skull? How do I get that many into doom?

You can use a beetle to get them there but you do NOT get a skull just for turning them in. After turning in the skulls it will summon a monster you have to kill, it's not that easy to kill but a very very good tame can solo it. I personally take my Girlfriend along on her Mage/bard just as an issurance measure . It's best just to kill the things in doom and turn them in as you get them, getting 1,000 is relatively quick. If I stay there and hunt I can normally pull no less then 3-4 skulls per hour with my GF there to help me.

You will have to kill a Bone Daemon. Dont die or leave doom, else the quests ends.

Don't test that either, you'll only be disappointed.

If your trying to solo the Bone Daemon, make sure you can self-res atleast once.

Do gold skulls serve a purpose or just deco?
I dont recall ever seeing one.

Yea they allow you access to the gauntlet in Doom.

You goto Doom, head for the shore line (south), ring the bell, when Cythloth (sp) appears, you give it to him and he teleports you to the boat.

Okay, you have your 1000 bones. From the entry point of doom, go south till you can go east, then go east to get to Victoria the Sorceress. Give her the bones and she summons a bone deamon. The bone deamon is almost as strong as a shadown wyrm, so you'll need atleast one other person with you. Summon EV's and spam it, and when it dies, it'll give you a gold skull. You then go south to the river, ring the bell of the dead via double click, then Cythloth will show up. You give him the gold skull and you'll be allowed to teleport onto his boat where u can teleport to the other side to do the gauntlet and take on dark fathers. Warning, if you summon Cythloth and don't give him a gold skull in time, he will summon a bone dragon to kick your ass

I am not sure if you get a gold skull every time u defeat the bone deamon. Someone plz correct me if im wrong.

BTW since we r talking about doom, does luck increase your chance of getting an artie or do you just need to do lots of damage to the mobs or do you need to get the final blow?

Yes you get a skull off every daemon, you need to loot it from the corpse.

some people swear by a timing system, others swear by having max luck. I, on the other hand, just do it and hope for the best. If you go to Doom looking to farm arties, prepare to be disappointed. If you go to Doom to fight and explore, you'll have a good time.
