Gargoyle City?

Years ago I went there but have not heard anything about it since and can find no runes to get there. Anyone know if it's still a real place and if so, can someone get me there on Chesapeake (Trammel)?

Re: Gargoyle City?

The gargoyle city is still there, but runes cannot be marked there. Go through a moongate to the Compassion shrine, I believe, and head south-east, keeping the rock wall on the left side of your screen. Follow the wall around to a small encampment of (gypsies?). There is a cave door on the western wall. Go inside, and you will find yourself in the area of Blackthorn's Castle. Pass south of Blackthorn's Castle, headed west, and find the passage between the mountains. Enter the passage (you will cross a server boundary in the pass) and head north. Through another pass you will find a desert area. The Gargoyle city is north-west from the second pass. If at any time you find yourself near lava, you are headed the wrong direction (into the heart of the exodus dungeon). Hope this helps, and isn't too confusing!

Re: Gargoyle City?

Last time I went anywhere near there I got killed pretty quickly. Is it a pretty dangerous journey and if so, got any tips for getting there in one piece?

Or.... can I deliberately get killed and then get rezzed there perhaps? Do they have a bank there so I can re-equip?

1. Head over to a moongate, and select Ilshenar, Honor gate. Then head north till you reach a cave entrance.

2. You'll end up near the entrance to Gargoyle Mining Camp. Run south. Head west into the desert. Gargoyle city is located in the western side of the desert. Possible monster encounters: enslaved gargoyles, controllers, exodus overseers, liches, imps, earth elementals, lava lizards, sand vortexs, efreets, scorpions, and/or mongbats.

3. Welcome to Gargoyle city. Refer to the map for locations to the stonecrafting, stone mining, glassblowing, and sand mining books

Re: Gargoyle City?

Ah, cool, thank you, Tabbitha! I have never taken that route... will have to try it tonight.

When I travel there without a fighting character, I just don't stop for anything. Travel fast, travel light, and keep my fingers crossed. There are healers and a bank there, so I suppose you could do the dead-man-walking thing.

Good luck!

Re: Gargoyle City?

Tabbitha's directions are the easiest and quickest, and the way I always use. It is best to be mounted, and unless you have an adept warrior/bard/mage character, and you're looking for the fight, you really want to make a mad dash once you leave the cave. There are all kinds of nasties all the way to the city. If anything follows you into the city, a simple yell for guards will take care of the problem. If you go too far south, past the city, you will start seeing the lava and the entrance for Exodus as was mentioned.

Re: Gargoyle City?

Thanks Tabs

I find that as long as you're on a mount and RUN, you should be fine!
