Since the quest is timed what I did was collect the 5 sacs before actually excepting the quest. Therefore, I can take as long as I need as long as I dont do over the sac timer which is a lot longer than the quest timer.

Ben the quest is not timed. It's the sacs that have the timer. You could take the quest today and get the sacs tomorrow and still turn them in. Just can't wait long after getting that first sac before they decay
