First and formost i want to tank all of your help for helping me in my bow crafting. thank you all. i do have 1 more question how do you know what bows are good to enchance and what effects enchaning bows like does talismons,boards etc.

Tony, what do you mean by "good to enhance"? Type of bow, or properties that make a bow worth trying to enhance?

Things that effect enhancing-
1) Noone has really done a study (in two years) of the chances of success as affected by the intensity of the woods. Generally, the higher the # of properties, and the higher each is, the greater the chance of failre. Also, the higher the specific property you are trying to enahnce, the higher the chance of failure.
For example, if you are using yew( +10 DI, +5 HCI) to enhance a bow with 50% DI and 15 HCI already, your chances of success are drasticallly slim. About 5%

2) Talisman. For the purposes of enahncement, it has been stated on stratics that talismans do NOT affect enhance chance. (looking for specific link atm, if anyone has please reply!) It only affects chance for crafting success.

3) Choosing the best boards. Generally speaking, you want to choose woods that enhance already existing properties, not add new properties. Also, you want to take into account the swing speed.
Shortbow / repeater xbow - Can swing at 1.25 seconds at 150 stamina. Therefore, you want to enhance with yew over ash.

all others- 50/50 toss up here. If the bow has over 15 SSI, then you can use ash to enhance for an extra 10 SSI. Under 15, really no point in more SSI, so enhance with yew.

uhoh. You made the bows out of regular boards? (sweats). When crafting with runics, it is best to make them with the intended material straight away. That way you do not have to worry about failing on enhance.
