OK. So i see all of these people walking around talking about how much gold they have having like 300 mil and that and i wonder. How do they do it. So can someone explain to me an easy an effective way to make gold? Thanks. Jabba

Well a good way to make gold, if you are up to it, is to do champ spawns. The ones in fel give you scrolls and quite a bit of gold. You can set up vendors to sell these scrolls. 120s in magery, eval, archery, resist, bushido can fetch quite a bit. Atleast 5mil for the lowest of the bunch, and upwards of 10mil for the most wanted at the time. But the problem is you have to worry about getting raided, but you have to weigh the risks vs. the payoff. If you want a way to get gold at a spawn without worry of raids, the Ilsh champ spawns drop gold, probably about 100k or so, but no scrolls.

You can do peerlesses, they drop ingredients needed to make items, those can go for quite a decent amount, as well as artifacts that you can sell.

There is the ole hunt and camp out a dungeon. If I am ever in a money making mood, I go to the trogdylite cave, and whack away at them for a while, I can usually make about 100k+ an hour. Ogre Lord Island, you can make similar amounts an hour if you are able to handle the island alone.

Those are just some ideas to ponder.

Yea.. The guild im in on LS isnt really liked by some of the major guilds there. They just hate us cause we kill them So every time we go do spawns we always get raided. hehe. What are peerlesses i've never heard of them. Thanks for the help!

Peerless fights are kinda like a champ. You have to get "keys" to get to the boss. Lady Melisande, Travesty, Dreadhorn, Lord Paroxymous are some to do. They generally have bout 100k hp and take a group to kill. Look em up on uostuff.com, that will tell you the wherabouts and how to go about doing them. They can be alot of fun, but can be a pain to do sometimes too, if there is a line to get in, as only 1 group can do it at a time, and some groups take FOREVER to complete it.

If you are getting raided alot, go do the spawns out in the middle of nowhere, usually where they arent scouted. Like sanctum, bog, marble. If you are going to despise, destard, terra keep, fire, Ice spawns, of course, they are usually the most scouted. Always bring a necro to see if there is a ghost wandering around, if you see one, 10 bucks says a group of his 20 closest red friends are not far behind.....

Not nearly everyone has that kind of cash piles though, don't be fooled by the more vocal community members. Personally the most gold I've ever had at one time was about 30 million I think, at this time I think I'm around 20 million.

Most friends I know think I'm ridiculously rich, so that says a lot about where they're at.

I'd give some advice too but I don't have any, otherwise I'd have more gold myself. What I have is just accumulated over the last 4 years or so.

Hunt and Save your gold. Dont buy deco stuff and you will be rich in no time.

Very true. I know of alot of people spending gold on needless stuff. I am of the belief, that I only buy stuff that will benefit combat only. I dont even buy bandaids, food, pots. I loot them off of people, and store them in my house. I have filled about 15 kegs in my house just off the pots. I am a cheap player, but very well off, not in the hundreds of mils, but several dozens. I save my money for the right deals at the very right times..and remember, sell sell sell. Anything you get that is desirable to others, and you dont think you will be needing. Sell it and pocket the gold. You never know what you will need it for later down the road...

if you can do swoops in spirituality when the crowd isn`t there you can make mad amounts of gold doing them because they spawn fast.plus they give minor arties that you can sell for gold.swoops usually give out 2k a kill....my own personal best for making gold there when i`m alone to myself is 350k in about 2hrs.it hasn`t happened since because that time i was the only person there.

doom is another place that hasn`t been mentioned yet.dark fathers give out some really desireable arties,ornament of the magician being one of the highest if your lucky to recieve one.i sold the one i was lucky enough to get for quite a pretty penny.

when i was bored and wanted to something different for fame and decent gold i`d do orc brutes.you can get to "glorious lord/lady" pretty quick doing them and pocket some cash at the same time.

(for newbs)the passage south of the compassion gate that has gargoyles can be fun if you can handle the paragon vertion of them.they give a decent amount of gold and various gems that can be sold to npc jewelers for some added cash.there are mutiple gargoyles that spawn there so you`ll keep it coming in quick.paragons give out chests too....some people like to collect paragon chests so thats a added bonus.not to mention the resist gains!

There is no "easy" way to make gold in UO, unless you're already rich to begin with. I became rich because I had an old account that had a lot collector's items on it that I later sold for tons of gold. Also, this account was given to me and started with a ton of gold on it as well.

The best way I've seen to make gold is buying low and selling high. I make pretty much 75% of my gold now buying stuff and then reselling it for a profit. Today for example I made 23 million. 8 mill off my vendor, 5 mill selling a gorget that i was wearing, and 10 mill selling midnight bracers to some guy looking for them. The gorget and bracers was a completely random occurence, but the vendor is my big money maker. It's right at the brit moongate, which in my opinion harbors the most random traffic out of any area in the game, atleast that's how it is on Atlantic. I see people there everytime I come to check my vendor.

basically, farm up a nest egg, then start buying and selling stuff. You'll make small profits here and there, but sooner than later it'll start piling up. I'm selling champ spawn rune books for 150k and people are actually buying them. Find something people need that you can supply, and you're on your way.
