1) Im trying to delete my characters i dont want and when i click OKAY nothing happens!!! WHY??

I need space I ran out of room Ive been trying out diff combinations of character all day

Ahh well some information here for you, Once you have created a character you can not delete it for 7 days. So you are suck for the next week and it is seven days to the exact second your created them so if you made a character at noon, and then your second one at 7 pm the same day. you would have to wait 7 days then at noon you could delete or first one then you would have to wait until 7 pm to delete your second.

And before you delete them since you are a brand new player, try to find an inn/saloon out of the way in (buildings marked with candle sign) this allows you to log out instantly and bring in another character. Find one with little player traffic, but a bag/sack/pouch from the provisioner, put everything that character owns in that bag (empty out your bank too) then naked run to the inn go to one of the rooms put the bag on the floor, log out and log in your new character in the exact same room presto you get 1000 more gold and some item to sell with your new character.
