I've been hunting high and low for a vendor that carries dyed spell books. Specifically black or purple. Preferably I'd like two of my existing spell books dyed these colors as they have properties on them that I enjoy.

Are colored spell books legal? If so can you dye existing spellbooks or must they be created in that color. If the latter is it possible to create books with mods in these colors?

I've got a purple one on Siege that I use for decor.. but I need these two on Sonoma.

The runebook/rune dye tub is a 48-59 month player veteran reward. If your account is at least 48 month old you can use one to dye runebooks and runes. Black is among the choices for colors, I believe. If you don't have a runebook dyetub of your own, many people with vendor/rune library houses also have public tubs you can use.

The purple books are sigil made. They are legal but not makeable anymore, so what was once 5k is now 500k on europa.

Dyed books are prolly just tokonu dyed so again, yes they are legal.

Thanks! I'll go hunt down a dye tub.. I thought those were only for dying runes and maybe rune books.. didn't realize you could dye spell books with them. As for the Sigil made spell book.. Woot! *runs off to sell that puppy on Siege*

Runebook dye tubs only dye runes and runebooks .. dye your spellbook with tokuno dyes ...
and we just might know where you can get ahold of a purple one on sonoma ...

Uggh.. I have shadowdancer black dye and it wouldn't work on the spell book.. I suppose if it was a scrappers it would work but these spell books are just player crafter spell books and not artifacts.

Yah, spellbooks can be dyed with Tokuno dyes.

It won't let me dye either book with tokuno dyes... Princess Spyder just doesn't look good toting around a mundane red spell book. *pouts*

Poo you used to be able to toki dye arti books cause ive got an old white toki major book, and had a berserker red one too. That was when the dyes first appeared though.
