Blackrock from mining ?

Ok, I heard that you could get blackrock from mining. So, I dusted off my GM miner and hit the rocks in Trammel and Malas. after 3 days and a lot of shovels I have about 6,ooo ingots of various colors and 20 or so sparkling gems. However not a single blackrock in sight. Or any blackrock elementals for that matter.

Am I missing something or just in a streak of very bad luck.
Maybe I should avoid any casino's for now?

I believe the official rumor is that you have to mine near the "blackrock" spires. So look for the blackrock elementals and you will know that you are close to where you need to mine

what Vepl said. there are 3 spots--all in the Lost Lands. Easiest to mine is just west of the Ophidian Lair. Just be prepared to hide or invis. Stealth helps alot.

ok,
I just talked to a friend. He is currently mining in Felucia. Not in the lost lands. He has gotten at least 6 small pieces of blackrock and generated 1 blackrock elemental. So it is not limited to the lost lands. At least it works in mining caves in Felucia.

Yes, you can get small pieces mining anywhere once in a while. But if you want the large pieces you must mine at the locations in the Lost Lands. The large pieces fall about once every 100 swings on average.

Place I use is in the Lost Lands... leave Delucia and walk/run/fly west till you get to the corner of the map.

But be very careful.

We were just in that area and found that you can outrun the elementals
