Bit of a problem...

I just went to log onto UO, and after hitting the 'OK' button on the patch screen, a message popped up saying "The 3D game client is no longer supported, in preparation for the release of the all-new Kingdom Reborn game client."

When I hit 'OK', it closes the program! I don't, and never have, run the 3D version...I just use the regular 2D version and it's been working fine until just now.

Can anyone help?

Re: Bit of a problem...

Hmm that's odd
You could always bypass the patch screen for now
If you go into your UO directory and launch client.exe manually, that'll at least be a temporary work around.

Re: Bit of a problem...

It sounds like you are using UO Assist. If that is the case, it is in preparation for KR. Either pick 2D or start KR directly with the KR client.

Nope..I don't even have UO Assist....or KR for that matter. Just the Ultima Online 9th Anniversary Edition.

Re: Bit of a problem...

seems a little strange but you can go to :

My computer
c: drive(or whatever is drive UO is installed on)
program files
EA games
mondains legacy(or whatever folder is listed there)

Re: Bit of a problem...

Have you tried a restart? (grasping at straws here)

If that doesn't work. You might try to uninstall UO and reinstall it from your disk . Not the easiest solotions but one might work.

Re: Bit of a problem...

Yea, I've tried restarting, and I've tried going directly to the client.exe, but everytime I still get the same error message. I emailed EA support, and I'll see if they get back to me...if not, I'll try reintalling the program I guess.
