Does the type of armor you wear affect how fast you regen mana?

I know that you can meditate with armor labeled "Mage Armor" but what about natural passive regeneration? Would I regen faster if I wore all leather vs. a piece of bone or plate thrown in there?

I'm pretty sure that regular metal armor will slow down passive mana regen a lot. I know it used to, probably still does.

Yeah it still does, I used to have platemail legs and whenever I took them off to meditate my mana regen shot up.

Mana regenerates from the following ways (off the top of my head).

1. meditation
2. intelligence (every 40 int the equivalent of about 1 mana/10 secs)
3. focus (1 mana/10 sec for every 20 focus)
4. gear
5. lich form (1.3/sec)
6. vampiric embrace form (rough equivalent of about 60 focus give or take)
7. wisp familiar (bursts of mana gain)
8. mana leech (from weapons or from wraith form, with the latter being stronger leeching the higher your spirit speak)

All those mana regenerations are independant of type of armor except for #1 and #2. Those two are entirely nullified by non-medable armor, even one piece of it.

If you wear anything other than leather, or mage armor you will not get the passive mana regen from meditation, nor will you be able to meditate using the skill. You will, however, get it from everywhere else(items, passive int regen), and from focus as well.

I have never heard of the amount of Intel making an effect on how you regen mana.
