I am slightly confused.

Constance was wandering around a Felucca towns today doing a little mining.. in Skara she was attacked by a cat. Just a cat... red name.. red body... someodd gold and a mace when my beetle killed it. No Karma loss. I did call the guards because I'd rather not take another hit to my karma but they didn't care. A little odd yes but it is Skara, right? Off to Yew and a particularly healthy Valorite vein.

Silly mongbats... I fed one to the beetle and the guards whack two. Grey mongbats. Grey names. Grey bars. The usual stuff. Except that about 10 minutes after feeding the beetle, he must have decided he was hungry again because he went from a green bar to a blue bar. ( I feed him daily, talk to him, use him to smelt a lot of ore)

When in Yew shear sheep... that's the norm.. never can have enough cloth, bandages, fancy shirts, whatever ...ya know? Out of nowhere (actually in the sheep pen) this sheep goes beserk! Red name, red bar, red body, 6 wool and 3 leg of lamb someodd gold again when Ciao (my beetle) is done.

Now I've never been real good with animals (Thank the gods for ethereal mounts) but these animals are getting just a bit carried away with their own self worth. Goodness gracious it was a cat and a sheep!

I would guess they also look kinda of ethereal? Also would hazard to guess you have/had blackrock and cast the armageddon spell. If that is the case then you are just blackrock infecting random creatures.

They still sound like blackrock infected creatures. Makes a normal non-aggressive creature, aggressive and turns them red. I've been told that those who have cast the armageddon spell and/or carry blackrock on them can randomly infect creatures. Since you ran into them in two separate places, I thought you where the cause

Yup you don't have to cast the spell. As long as you have blackrock in your pack you could infect.

I'm going to have to look very closely in my pack now for blackrock.... I can't have Connie running into cows, bulls, horses and llamas all wanting to kill her.
If someone else infects it does it stay that way permanently until it is killed? There was a gent cutting wood in the same general area of Yew.

As far as I know, it's until the death of the infected creature

You prolly have a small piece of blackrock in your pack as everyone is saying. You need to look careful cause them little rocks arent easy to spot in there!
