Hello Everyone,
My first post here. I role play(rp) on GL, when I began back 3 years we had a great rp community. Now it seems to have stagnated same people playing several different characters and different rpvp guilds, the community seems to be getting small. Any suggestions on how to improve this or other ideas? Thanks

I don't know off hand of how to improve the situation, as far as i'm aware, the community aspect of UO allmost vanished a while ago when AOS Came out
I'm pretty sure there are some dedicated roleplaying guilds around, it's just finding them

You should be able to find a RP guild fairly easily. Best thing to do is search for guilds on your shard on Stratics and UO.com and see if they have websites.
Check out thier sites or talk to their players in game to see what kind of guild they are.

I've been in a couple RP guilds over the last couple of years and it was fun....they are hard to come by, but they are still out there.

I have found a few guilds and belong to one, but the problem is the other rp guilds are consisted of the same people just in alt characters *grins*. It would be nice just to meet new rp people to interact with. In your opinions what shard has the strongest rp community?

At one time, the shard with the strongest RP was definately without a doubt Siege Perilous. Slowly the RP guilds there have either moved on to other games or shards and others have dropped RP all together and just became gank squads such as VMP which was a really neat Vampire guild some time ago. Used to be able to offer a vial or two of blood to spare your life.. they were never, ever out of character. Now they just run around slaughtering newbs or ganking more experienced players. The orcs have all but vanished on Siege.

Second to Siege would be Sonoma.. again.. I see little RP anymore. It does have one of the best communities for player events and establishments however which makes up a little for the lack of RP.

Pacific has a few good RP guilds (or did last time I was there)....Baja does, but they are a small shard in comparison and you probably won't see them often.

I've *heard* that the bigger shards (Cats, Sonoma, LS, etc) have great RP, but it's hard to dig through the jerks to find it.

I've also heard that Europa has some great RP, but I've never been there, so I'm not sure it that's true or not.

Its hard to find a guild now days who does indeed RP without pvp. But there are many guilds who do RP and also do Champs. If you play LS, the guild BEC is a RP/champs/MILD pvp.

Thank you for the information, it gives me more ideas and places to look. The guild I am in right now is great on GL a real close nit group, it is a military based guild that pvp's other groups. I will look into those areas that were indicated for shards with rp. If it was not for the rp element I would have quit 4 years ago, I just want the experience to keep going. Thank you again.
