![]() | New Player This is the second time I have played UO first time was when the Samurai Xpac came out and I played for about 2 days and quit cause I didnt like it. I decided to try UO again, after some disappointing new MMO's. My first question is where would be a good server pop wise to play at? I live on the East Coast. I have read the tutorials and guides and gotta say man do I have a headache from all that knowledge. Just trying the Free Trial for now. My second question would be am I missing anything by not upgrading to the most current expansion? Thanks for reading and answering the questions, sorry if Im a little scatter brained. All this info has my brain over loading. |

![]() | Re: New Player Hard to say whether you would be 'missing' anything by not having the latest expansion - UO is so open-ended it can be very daunting for a new player, and the more there is to learn about the harder it will be. That being said, you'll probably find the only expansion available to you *is* the latest one. |

![]() | Re: New Player Atlantic is expensive but isnt as PvP focused as many other shards so there is ample opportunity to make some quick cash. It also has (in my opinion) the best guilds in the game. ![]() Curses! Who stole my monacle? |

![]() ![]() | Re: New Player Catskills is a very friendly place to relearn the game, and you are most welcome there. If you want the flexibility of being able to go everywhere, wear all the armor types, and have the possibility of seeing and doing everything there is to do, then yes you need the expansion. I personally recommend it, but it might not be for everyone. ![]() Building the Catskills community, one player at a time! |
