Upgrading my computer.

It works in my old pc, so I doubt it's suddenly died
I might try it in my dad's computer later, see if it picks it up.

Ok I seem to have fixed it
I was curious as to whether something was conflicting with the PCI slots, or the card in paticular, I think I was right
I went into the bios and changed the PCI Slot IRQ from Auto to 5 and the card appeared when the PC booted up
Figures, heh

Ya changing the IRQ from Auto to 5 is a good call Adam.

Shows it is a systemboard issue.

Knowing you, you probably already checked to make sure you have the latest BIOS... so just need to keep an eye out for a BIOS update in the future.

The old Raptors are very cool... speedy buggers.

Western Digital has a new one out... the VelociRaptor 300. 300g, 3g SATA interface, and so on. It's the new beast.
