![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Well done. My daughters had a gypsy camp at one time, but had to forego the wagons. They could not figure out how to make them work. Now, seeing yours, its inspirational. Visually, to break up the focus forward, could I make a recommendation that along the west and north walls you use housing logs to make tall trees. This will help with the perspective, drawing in the eye, but not letting the concentration be on the wagons totally, thus letting one see upon study that they are not really wagons. Present the illusion. Next, line a couple of the wagons facing south along the west wall, and in front of those tall customization log trees that you build (with elf village leaf roofing as the limbs and cover as you build up), with Phillip Steeds in front of each to look like it is ready to pull. Again, amazing job. The originality is truly inspirational. ![]() |

![]() ![]() | Re: Gypsy Camp Hi Kimmy, Some time ago I also tried to create a gypsy wagon. This is the only screenshot I could find of the house, so sorry bout the size of the pic! (didn't get a chance to clip it down again) It's the house right next to that sandstone one... not sure if you wanted this for any input or ideas etc. ![]() I used leather wall tiles for the wagon with the tokuno roofing, and the moon doors. The other combinations I had tried made me feel like I was looking at small sheds instead of a wagon for some reason. The leather walls along with the tokuno floor tile (that has the black line in it) to give definition on the bottom so that it looked "raised". Also did the same thing you did with the spinning wheels and quarterstaves. ![]() ![]() "You know…there’s an element of truth to every child’s tale and legend… and it’s usually worse than we ever want to remember.” House of Tremere: www.xs4all.nl/~garod1 Last edited by Alynora; 3rd June 2008 at 07:25 AM.. |
