Gargoyle's Pickaxe
Is there any NPC's selling Gargoyle's Pickaxe?
I read somewhere that you can buy these in Gargoyle City, is that true? If not what is the best way to gather some, except from BOD's? |

Re: Gargoyle's Pickaxe
Not sure if they sell them in Gargoyle City, but pretty positive they are a mediocre drop on Gargoyles.
Or just do BOD's, those usually pop up at a decent rate as long as you have the iron to crank them out.

Re: Gargoyle's Pickaxe
I havent found anyone that sells them
and i killed tons of gargoyles and stone gargoyles and never got any garg. pickaxes. BUT I hang around luna a lot and most of the time people leave the pickaxes and shovels on the ground in the blacksmith shop because they get so many. So try that too. OR - if you are lucky enough like myself - I had someone in my guild that had a BAG FULL and gave them to me! I have like 100 of them. lol. |

If you are on Catskills/Trammel, I've got a bunch you can -have-. Nearing my storage limit.

Re: Gargoyle's Pickaxe
Strange, I took my paladin down from the Chaos Shrine through the desert to that little mining path where the stone gargoyles spawn rather fast and had no trouble leaving with about 15 gargoyle's pickaxes after half an hour (I was killing them in a couple hits though with my demon slayer + pally buffs).
I've also ran across a handful of vendors that sell them for anywhere from 100gp to 1000gp a piece, and I will usually buy all of them for that price just because they make pulling in the verite and valorite ore so much easier. I've also found that if I manage to mine up a valorite (or whatever color you're mining for) elemental if I stop mining and kill the elemental and then switch to a new gargoyle's pickaxe I can pretty often pull up a second one from the same spot. Never managed three from one spot, but 50 valorite ore from one mining spot is pretty good Switching the axes may not have any effect whatsoever, but I do it anyways because it makes me *feel* like it has an effect ![]() Last edited by EricVT; 27th April 2008 at 03:57 PM. |

Re: Gargoyle's Pickaxe
I throw them on the ground; I get so many from recycling small bods. Those and prospecting tools and +3 mining gloves..
