Though the slow pace is annoying from a gameplay perspective, it kind of makes sense from an RP perspective. The bad guys are sending scouts, feeling us out. And in fact when I look up the dictionary definition of vanguard, it makes yet more sense. The slow pace is still annoying though. ![]() But oh well. -Galen's player Last edited by Galen; 11th May 2008 at 12:21 PM.. |

It seems slow now compared to events in the past. But if they start getting it consistent so every week there is something new, I would be happy with that. That way people will have a chance all week to do the event. It would be better to have a slow attack the first week and a heavy attack the next week, then heavy attacking for 2 weeks and players just stop fighting in the middle of week 2. ![]() UOGuide -- The best Ultima Online reference, better than the T2A manual! JC's Thought Dump -- Don't bother, I've read it and it is just not good. |

![]() | Re: Sorry to be negative, but this event is ridiculously slow The thing that I don't like about these slow-to-start events is that there's no global way to know when the bad guys show up, so if you want a shot at the fight you gotta sit around waiting on them to spawn. That can create some fun social interaction for awhile, but it gets a little boring after a certain point. |

![]() | Re: Sorry to be negative, but this event is ridiculously slow I really think the spawn needs to come more frequently, at least on Atlantic. I've tried to tame a dread horse yesterday but there were too many griefers just killing the horses as soon as the controllers got dismounted. I signed on this morning shortly after server up hoping that the immature kiddies would be in bed, but of course they were still there this morning killing off all the dread horses and laughing about it. I was able to get a tame off on one and it said "it seems to accept you as master" and in the same second someone purposefully called guards and my horse went poof. Just my luck I guess. I'm really starting to think that all the scum of the earth players reside on Atlantic I just really hope spawn rate is increased so the regular players who can't camp Cove 24/7 can actually get a chance to tame one of the horses. Sorry for the rant but have to vent somewhere... |
