I have some (minor) issues with the UOKR-client and I want to campare them with your experiences about the UOKR-client BEFORE I send them to EA-support. I didn't find a thread about this, so please, if you know about such a thread, then please let me know about it too. Thank you!

1.) Container-grafix get screwed while moving containers.
Open a container by double-clicking it.
Then move the container to the upper border of your screen.
The container-grafix ALWAYS get screwed at the bottom of the container, so the content of the container seems to "run out" at the bottom of the container. SOMETIMES the same happens at the upper border of the container too. It never happens to me at the left and right border of the container.

2.) SOMETIMES I have some grafical artifacts at the "black screen" at the bottom of my screen. This only happens when using the "grid"-display for a container. The "atrifacts" seem to be an "unfinished" copy of the grid-lines of the container above.

3.) I'm playing in "Windowed-Mode" and I didn't test this things while being in Full-Screen-Mode. ok. I'll do it anyway... just never thought about it..

4.) One screen in user-options is malformed - I cannot scroll down there AND - of course - I cannot use some options there because of this malformed behaviour. I'll give you an exact explanation about this tomorrow. (I'm not at home right now)

5.) Exactly after 4 hours - in one row - of playing, my client crashes. I dunno why! no other game quits from running on its own every time after palying 4 hours - UOKR is the only one so far...

I have NO other issues with the UOKR-client.
Grafix is much better then the old native UO 2D-style (but this is only a matter of everyone's taste).

Please let me know if you have the same issues with your UOKR-client - thank you! (I have dealt with many support-departments from various companies in the past - and EA will be the next to learn about me ...)

The deal breaker for me is the fuzzy, low res item art. I can't look at my backpack in KR without cringing. I'd love to play in KR too, i run so much smoother and hotbars are incredibly useful.

edit: just thought of one bug that is quite annoying. if you are typing some in the chat box, and the last letter you hit before hitting enter is keybound, it will often cast that spell. this bug wastes my tithe points like no other :C

ok, I missed a thing: When entering text into my "Profile-description" at my paperdoll, the editor there gets completely screwed after a few lines of text. Especially after doing a carriage-return to make a paragraph, some counters in the editors code seem to get a wrong value and then an "ugly game of seeking the right position of the cursor" starts ...

AND my profile's text vanishes after logging out and logging in again.

Agreed, that was the one major turn off for me
Everything was fuzzy and I couldn't tell what half the graphics were (ok, half is an exaggeration, but you know what i mean)
Why bring out a flashy new client and use low res graphics like that?

Problem with KR is that there are to many issues for many people to switch over to it. It needs even more work, then it looks like EAMythic is going to put into it. But that is just my opinion. If they get it stable, I will try it again. Until then I will just enjoy playing the game, instead of being an unpaid QA tester. Been nearly a year since the general release of KR and it stills seems like its a beta to me.

From what you describe, some of the issues are KR... but not all of them. You didn't post your PC's system specs, but some issues can be fixed with Windows Update and some additional drivers.

I would start with Windows Update and make sure you are up to date on everything... even the optional OS & hardware updates, and even service packs. After that, double check your video and audio drivers, make sure you're using the latest.

Also depending on your system specs, there are some other things you can do too.

ok, first of all, my sys-specs:

proc: intel core2duo, running at 3.2GHz
RAM: 2x 1GB DDR2-RAM - that makes a total of 2GB RAM
mobo: asus striker extreme, BIOS 1402 (the last stable one for this board)
grafix: 2x xfx geforce 7950GT linked by SLI
OS: WinXP Prof 32bit

Drivers and patches are the latest available for everything (Motherboard, Gfx, WinXP)
I definitively do not have common gfx-bugs, because of other games and betas running on my PC very well (even completely new ones, like the AoC-beta, run very smooth without ANY probs at all).
