Ergonomic UI and click saving seems to be very low on the priority list of the developer team.
Each item needs at least 3 clicks + 1 drag (if you don't count the move into the backpack) to get your points booked. Some of the clicks must also be very narrow targeted, like rat coins or the blue dot on the collection box.

Either one would have been better. Just what are they trying to do? If this new system is going to be expanded or something, why not let us players know that it is going to be improved in the future. You are just asking for people to script.
Exactly! Approach NPC, gumb pops up, you click the items you wish to donate and the points could be displayed in the gumb somehow.

Sounds like a much safer and easier way to do it.
