I won't ever participate in another focus group that Jeremy puts together. The PvP focus group was handled unprofessionally and I won't offer my help again.

I'm sorry to be negative. It is one thing to ignore posters on a message board. It is quite another to invite people to participate in a process then unceremoniously dump them and subsequently fail to communicate any reason for doing so.

Good luck to anyone who applies. You won't be getting my considerable experience on this one or any others.

I'm sorry you got caught in that, but at that scale, it's the only way to enforce an NDA.

Enforcing the NDA is no excuse for failing to respond to multiple requests for clarification on the issue.

It would have been quite simple to send a mass email to everyone explaining the situation, you failed to do that.

In a semi-professional relationship like the one between a company and participants in a focus group, there is no justification for that.

My last post sounded much harsher than I intended, sorry. I was trying to be funny with the first part and was venting a bit with the second part, but I think it all comes across far meaner than I am!

There was an announcement posted in the still-visible part at the time, if I recall.

Magister, the last couple of weeks have been nuts for the designers, what with the publish and the baby and all, so I haven't gotten any gameplay stuff answered in weeks. I should be able to get some soon, though.

I'm in management and this all sounds soooo familiar in so many ways. lol You can never make everyone happy. =P

We ask that the Dev's be more accessible and then we FS them as soon as they appear or post...

Yes, the announcement was that since some unidentified members of the focus group failed to abide by the NDA the group was dissolved and no one who was a part of the group could participate in the second attempt.

It was an adequate statement of what happened. It provided wholely insufficient explanation or apology to the vast majority of the group who did abide by the NDA and wanted to be involved in improving that long ignored aspect of the game.

The apology here is the first I've seen. You could have avoided my resentment by bothering to apologize and explain then. You could also have maintained this customer as someone who was willing to participate and help but your actions or lack thereof demonstrated that you don't want that from me. Your wish is granted.
